DLS Graduates

Become a Mentor

De La Salle graduates return to their middle school for guidance and
support throughout their high school years, often looking for the same
warmth, guidance, and individual attention they received as sixth,
seventh, and eighth graders. We need your help in providing an
environment that nurtures students at this important part of their lives.
Become a mentor and give your perspective and encouragement to
a DLS graduate at one of St. Louis’ Catholic high schools. Be a
sounding board as graduates think out loud about their futures or
their pasts. Challenge a high school junior as they move—at times
two steps forward, one step back—towards making a decision
about college and a career.

You do not have to remember high school Physics or Calculus, or be
able to edit English papers. You just have to make a commitment to
meet with your mentee at least two times a month. If you remember a

little Chemistry, all the better. Mentors live across the St. Louis, are

varied ages, and come from different walks of life. Their one commonality

is a commitment to helping DLS graduates succeed.

Become a Tutor

Monday through Thursday, graduates have the opportunity to return to DLS for a comfortable place to do homework. If you would like to tutor a high school student we want you to come to De La Salle. Partner with one or two students or be available to students as they need help. Whatever your expertise or experience come and help DLS graduates improve their high school grades.
Please email Melissa Brickey or call 314.531.9820 for more information about becoming a graduate mentor or tutor.
