When you come one a week to DLS as a one-on-one mentor, you
come not only as someone who can help a middle school student
with their math or reading, but you come proclaiming that the child to
whom you have dedicated an hour or two of your time matters
incalculably. You remind that student that their individuality, their
strengths and struggles, carry weight in a world that might otherwise
disregard them. It is a transformative privilege and a real responsibility
to share your own knowledge and individuality with students.
Please consider spending some time at De La Salle. Mentoring
opportunities exist with our middle school students, as well as high
school students in the Graduate Support Program. Email Principal
Phil Pusateri if you would like to work with our middle school
students or
Graduate Support Director, Melissa Brickey, if you would like to work with
high school students. You may also call the main office at
314.531.9820 to inquire about a time to come tour DLS and meet
our students and teachers.
